about us
Since opening its doors July 1993,
the Basalt Gallery has represented
the finest local and regional artists.
The gallery provides quality exhibition
space in the quaint, historic town of Basalt, twenty minutes from Aspen, CO.
The gallery features artists from the
Roaring Fork Valley, but also represents painters from throughout Colorado,
New Mexico and Utah.
Working with local artists enables us to personally match each artists' styles and palettes with the individual tastes of clients. Studio visits are happily arranged.
This allows art buyers to meet an artist
in his or her millieu, and to view an entire body of work before making a selection.
At the Basalt Gallery you will find a wide array of traditional and contemporary oils, watercolors, pastels, sculpture and photography that will enhance the design and ambiance of any home or office.
While the artists are regionally located,
they are of national and international renown. Any of their works would be a wise investment for the serious collector. Inquiries from decorators and
designers are welcome.
Gallery artists include Dan Namingha, Arlo Namingha, Michael Namingha, Gene Adcock, Cheryl Browder, Heather Foster,
Sybil Hill, Judy Haas, Nancy Lovendahl,
Martha Mans, Janet Nelson, Greg Stocks, Andy Taylor, Joel Ostlind, Simon Winegar, William Alther, Elizabeth Sandia,
Mary Morrison, Mark Nelson, Scott Freeman, Michael Wisner,
Suzanne Mears, Jane Lee and Dan Young as well as other nationally recognized artists.
