Demonstration with Michael Wisner

June 5th 11am - 2pm

Artist Michael Wisner will come to the gallery, set up his pottery wheel and give a demonstration on how he creates the intricate patterns on his clay vessels.

The town of Basalt will also be hosting it's annual Summer Launch party on June 5th as well as the grand opening of the Wyly Community Art Center. This will be a day in Basalt you won't want to miss!

Leading Women Artists from the West

Exhibition Dates: March 11 - April 9, 2010

This unique show is a celebration of five distinctive women artists who are influencing art in the west. Featuring the work of: Jill Soukup oil paintings of horses and buffalo; Elizabeth Sandia’s scenic pastels; Cheri Christensen’s expressionistic oil paintings of farm animals; Sybil Hill’s collage oil paintings of wild horses; and Mary Morison’s floral landscapes. *This exhibition is a celebration of five female artists from the Ann Korologos Gallery. This show and all participants are not related to the organization "Women Artists of the West (WAOW)."

Dan Namingha speaks at the Aspen Institute - February 17th

Dan Namingha is a highly acclaimed painter and sculptor, collected by dozens of museums and important collections throughout the world. Of Hopi ancestry, Namingha mixes his native heritage with his distinctive contemporary style to create his accomplished work. Mr. Namingha will offer a talk and slide show at 5:30pm, the reception and exhibit follows. Click here to see new work by Dan.

The landscape of the American West is spectacular at all times of the year, but the winter can be especially captivating. Six of our favorite artists have risen to this challenge, and come up with paintings that sometimes capture the vast expanses, and sometimes the subtle intimacy of our land. It is an exhibition of contrasts and scale. Please join us in celebrating our beautiful wilderness as seen from from the eyes of six very talented artists.
